What is papyrus?
Papyrus is a multi layer, fibrous plant paper which was used a lot by the ancient Egyptians for its durability and ability to hold ink and paint without smudging. It is native to central Africa and the Nile Valley. Its fabrication is a closely guarded secret and takes many years to perfect into the finished product. I am careful to source mine from sustainable suppliers and never purchase more than I need.

Finished with 3D texture paint, glass gems and glitter glue.
