Handpainted real Ginkgo leaves with white sayagata pattern on a black gouache background. Mounted on tan watercolour paper and framed in a deep set black frame.
Finished with gold washi tape border.
Ginkgo leaves throughout Japanese history have signified hope and peace. It is also a symbol of longevity as a Ginkgo tree can survive for a thousand years.
These special leaves have been picked from my own garden and carefully pressed and dried to create these beautiful leaves which make a perfect canvas to work on.
